Pandemic, a transition of natural to virtual...

Updated: Aug 7, 2020

Quarantine, social distancing, self-isolation, and lock down are just few of the vocabulary words we seldom use nowadays. Due to the covid-19 virus that cause this pandemic threat, sadly going out suddenly became a danger to us individually, socially and worst, economically. Instantly, those errands we do personally, the tasks that we perform manually, shifts into doing it #online. Today, these obligations we carry out naturally before transforms into now into something #virtual. Sadly this pandemic eventually turned our world into a whole new #cyberspace.

We are aware of how computers are being used in schools, in office, in our everyday lives. But little did we know that today, every undertakings are being done with the help of that little box with a #digital brain. Online schooling, #workfromhome, paying bills, even doing groceries are being executed via #online. Admittedly, doing it online made our lives easier and obviously, safer. We, the human race entering into the electronic highway made a whole new perspective in our everyday lives.

But in the midst of all the positive effects of the so called digital era, comes one major complication... unemployment. Online payments posted real time, then how about those cashiers on payment centers? Are they still needed? How about those group of bank tellers shifting work hours? Is shifting needed still, since we have online banking? Online teaching based on modules and video lessons, will that not affect our teachers' profession? And of course, in reality not all of us is comfortable in this scenario. Not everyone has an access on the internet to do #workformhome or online schooling. Familiarization to how virtually the world now is, is something not everyone of us can gasps.

Resiliency is one of the many admirable traits we Filipinos posses. We are able to smile despite the adversities. We can easily adapt to situations that may hinder our own happiness. Our fighting spirit uplifts every inch of our human existence. We can effortlessly gain knowledge of skills that could escape us in our crisis. Finding our hidden talent and acquiring new concepts to be able to steer clear of afflictions. Searching for new ventures to fight unemployment and financial instability.

Despite today's challenges, emerges the new normal. Part of this latest trend is finding your way out of impoverishment is #workfromhome. Exploring makes you familiar and learning makes you efficient into things you are new of. Since you are planted at home, do it at home and use the computer, the internet. Use the digital trend to improve yourself, to gain knowledge, to gather information that would let you compete to other #workfromhome professionals. There are a lot of online jobs available today. Online tutors, online sellers, and of course the #freelancers which are making their living by employment sites like Upwork. These persons acquired their knowledge self taught by just watching via youtube and or other medias. There are even training websites that you could enroll such as FVAacademy of which like a family, will train you from scratch to professionalism. Helping you achieve your goals and build your own profile and portfoliio.

Truly this pandemic made a whole lot of mess to us individually and as a whole in our economy. But what is important is that in this transition from natural to virtual, we are able to confidently adapt the changes. We are ready to face what lies ahead. Equipped with our ability to be resilient and armored by our faith in the Divine Almighty, we can slay in the online world. Resiliency amidst diversity...
